Today, the world pauses to say one word: Dad.

For some, that word brings warmth, safety, and pride. For others, it stirs pain, silence, or even scars. On this Father’s Day, many will celebrate the men who shaped their lives with love, guidance, and strength. But we must also acknowledge those for whom the memory of a father feels like a shadow—distant, cold, or broken.

Yet even in the midst of that complexity, there is hope.
There is a Father whose love is perfect, constant, and overflowing.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” — 1 John 3:1
God, our Heavenly Father, has poured out a love so lavish, so extravagant, that no human failure or earthly absence can measure up to it. His love is not based on who our earthly fathers are—or aren’t. Whether you grew up with an incredible dad or carry the wounds of fatherlessness, you are still fully known, fully seen, and fully loved by God.
The world can’t comprehend this love, because it doesn’t know Him. But you can. You can know this Father. You can walk in His embrace.
He proved His love when He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place. And all who believe in Him receive everlasting life and adoption into the greatest family ever—God’s family.
King David once said, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me” (Psalm 27:10). That same promise holds true for us today.
So, as we honor the men who have made a difference in our lives, let’s also turn our hearts upward and say Thank You to the Father whose love never fails.
Let this be our prayer today:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” (Matthew 6:9–13)
Happy Father’s Day 💙
To every father, every father-figure—and above all, to the One who calls us His own.
